The 3rd Annual Kidney Awareness and Donor Charity Gala will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 6 pm at the historical Memphis Pink Palace Museum. Beverly Robertson, President of the National Civil Rights Museum, who is a kidney transplant recipient, was the keynote speaker at last year’s event. The Award-Winning Bamboo Forest will be the evening’s musical entertainment again this year. Reminisce through the halls of fame at the historical Pink Palace Museum prior to enjoying satiating sounds, delicious delights and a spectacular silent auction.
“This event is designed to spark community dialogue to help increase awareness of kidney disease and mobilize people to become more active in the promotion of early detection and prevention of this disease. “We will honor two outstanding individuals for their contributions and efforts to raise awareness about the importance of fighting kidney disease”, says Romalic M. Jones, Founder and Executive Director of Just Say Y.E.S. and a kidney transplant recipient himself. For reservations, tickets and more information call (901) 858-5878.
